Here is a look at the major records set/broken in the last three games of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021:


5-Rohit Sharma now scored five fifties in T20 World Cup as an opener, which is a record for any Indian opener. The previous record-holder was Gautam Gambhir who smashed four fifties in T20 World Cup tournaments.


5-Rohit Sharma scored five half-centuries in T20 World Cup tournaments as an opener. only Chris Gayle (9) and TM Dilshan (6) scored more fifties in T20 World Cup than Rohit Sharma as openers.


3000- Rohit Sharma completed 3000 runs in T20Is during his match-winning knock of 56 runs against Namibia. He became the only third player to complete 3000 runs in T20Is after Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Martin Guptill.


43-Rohit Sharma took 43 catches in T20I cricket, which is a record for any Indian player. He surpassed Virat Kohli who took 42 catches in T20I cricket till now.


1-Rohit Sharma became the highest run-getter (847 runs) in T20 World Cup tournaments among Indian players by surpassing his captain Virat Kohli, who scored 845 runs in T20 World Cup tournaments.


3-Indian wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant stumped out batsman Craig Williams today, which made him the only third Indian wicket-keeper to stump out any batter in T20 World Cup after MS Dhoni and Dinesh Karthik.


50-Virat Kohli captained the 50th T20I match today against Namibia.


7-Virat Kohli became the seventh player to captain 50 T20I matches.


2-India’s skipper Virat Kohli became the only second player in the world to captain 50 matches each in all three formats in international cricket after MS Dhoni.


3-KL Rahul scored three fifties in three consecutive matches in this edition of the World Cup. He became the only second Indian player to score three fifties in consecutive three matches in T20 World Cup after Virat Kohli.


3-Indian openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul scored 56 and 54* respectively against Namibia today. This is the only third instance of both Indian openers scoring fifties in the same match in the T20 World Cup.

1-Afghanistan and New Zealand faced each other for the first time in T20Is in this game.


2-Najibullah Zadran smashed two fifties in this edition of the T20 World Cup, without any other teammate scoring a fifty. Only Virat Kohli scored more half-centuries (3) than Zadran in one edition of the T20 World Cup, without any of his teammate scoring a fifty in a particular edition of the T20 World Cup. 11-Najibullah's 73 today is the only fifty-plus knock scored against New Zealand in their last 11 men's T20I matches.


1-Najeebullah Zadran scored 58.8% of the team total against New Zealand, which is the highest by an Afghanistan player in completed T20I innings. The previous highest was Hazratullah Zazai scoring 58.2% of his team's total against Ireland in 2019.


1-Aghanistan batter Najibullah Zadran smashed 73 runs against New Zealand, which is the highest individual score for an Afghanistan player in T20 World Cup tournaments. He broke the previous record of Mohammad Shahzad who smashed a knock of 68 runs against Hong Kong in the 2014 T20 World Cup.


400-Rashid Khan completed 400 wickets in T20s by bagging the wicket of Martin Guptill.


4-Rashid Khan became the fourth player to take 400 wickets in T20s after Dwayne Bravo (553 wickets), Sunil Narine (425 wickets) and Imran Tahir (420 wickets)


4-Kagiso Rabada became the only fourth player to take Hat-trick in T20 World Cup tournaments after Brett Lee (2007), Curtis Campher (2021) and Wanindu Hasaranga (2021).


1-Pakistan defeating Scotland by 72 runs is now their biggest runs win in T20Is at UAE. Their previous biggest win was by a margin of 66 runs against Australia at Abu Dhabi, 2018.


4-Babar Azam scored four half-centuries in this edition of the T20 World Cup, which is the highest for any batter in a T20 tournament or series. He surpassed Virat Kohli and Gerhard Erasmus who smashed three fifties each in a particular series or tournament.


1-Pakistan skipper Babar Azam scored a total of 264 runs in this edition of the T20 World Cup, which is the record for any captain in a single edition of the T20 World Cup. He surpassed previous record-holder Mahela Jayawardene who scored 201 runs as captain in T20 World Cup 2012.


1-Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan added a total of 364 runs in this edition of the T20 World Cup, which is the highest for any batting pair in any edition of the T20 World Cup. They surpassed Adam Gilchrist and Matthew Hayden, who added 335 runs for the first wicket in T20 World Cup 2007.


5-Pakistan qualified for the fifth time for the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup which is the highest for any team across the globe. They surpassed Sri Lanka, West Indies and Australia, who qualified for the semi-finals four times each in T20 World Cup tournaments.
