India overcame the Caribbean challenge in an ODI series at home in a clinical manner overcoming their opponents by a margin of 3-0. Let’s take a glance at the records set/broken in the recently concluded limited overs series.

1 - India whitewashed West Indies in the recently concluded ODI series by a margin of 3-0. This is the first time India whitewashed West Indies in ODI cricket.

1 - Rohit Sharma became only the second captain to whitewash West Indies in ODI/T20I series after England captain Eoin Morgan.

10 - Rohit Sharma has taken the fewest ODI matches (12) to win 10 matches as India captain. He outshined Virat Kohli (14) and Kapil Dev (15) in winning 10 ODI matches in the fewest ODI matches.

11 - West Indies have now lost 11 away ODI matches in a row. This is the first such streak for them. They broke their previous record streak of nine losses away from home in 1999-2000.

11 - India have equalled Pakistan in winning the most consecutive bilateral ODI series (11) against a team by defeating West Indies in the recently concluded ODI series. Pakistan have won 11 consecutive ODI series against Zimbabwe.

15 - Indian stalwart Virat Kohli registered his 15th ODI duck in the last match of the ODI series.

4 - Virat Kohli surpassed Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina (14 ducks each) by registering his 15th duck in ODI cricket among number one to seven batters for India. Only Sachin Tendulkar (20), Yuvraj Singh (18) and Sourav Ganguly (16) have recorded more ducks than Kohli in ODI cricket among India’s players.

1 - Suryakumar Yadav struck his highest score (64) in ODI cricket in the second ODI match of the recently concluded series.

100 - Virat Kohli played his 100th ODI match on home soil during the second ODI match of the recently concluded series. Indian batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar leads the chart with 164 matches on home soil.

100 - Yuzvendra Chahal completed 100 ODI wickets during the first ODI in the recently concluded series.

9 - Yuzvendra Chahal became the ninth India spinner to complete 100 ODI wickets.

5 - Yuzvendra Chahal became the fifth fastest India player to bag 100 ODI wickets in 60 matches after Mohammed Shami (56), Jasprit Bumrah (57), Kuldeep Yadav (58) and Irfan Pathan (59).

5000 - Virat Kohli completed 5000 runs on home soil in ODI cricket during the first ODI of the series.
