Nitish Rana and Venkatesh Iyer somewhat stabilized the innings for KKR with a 48 runs stand. Yuzvendra “Chatur Chalak” Chahal breaks KKR’s back with a four-fer
Unlike usual, Yuzvendra Chahal was introduced very late in the 11th over, and he responded rather quickly, dismissing Rana and breaking the 48 runs partnership. Then, Chahal made further inroads by picking up a double wicket over and giving just four runs away to stumble KKR into misery. Chahal was kept for the latter stages of the innings very smartly by Sanju, who even bowled the 19th over to send the dangerous Rinku Singh back to the pavilion. A spin bowling masterclass to deceive the batters played into Chahal’s strength as he picked up four wickets, giving just 25 runs in his four overs.
