Chennai Super Kings (CSK): The old theory of experience

How they fared in the auction

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) picked up a good all-rounder in the form of Ben Stokes who can help the side in both departments. The long-lasting issue for them will be the lack of proper death bowlers and if they think of adding Dwaine Pretorius in the eleven, then the team balance could be compromised.

Delhi Capitals (DC): Gaps filled with ample power at the top

Even though the squad looks to be balanced, Delhi Capitals still haven’t solved the issue of the lower order where they lack players. They need to find the replacement for Lalit Yadav or place Mitchell Marsh down the order.

Punjab Kings (PBKS): Solid bowling combination

How they fared in the auction

Rajasthan Royals who were the runners up from last season’s IPL, looked for a few players to repair their gaps in the squad. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB): Strong like last season

How they fared in the auction

Royal Challengers Bangalore will miss an Indian all-rounder at the death overs, given they can hardly use Will Jacks by breaking their stable combination of four overseas players. They will also hope for some good performances from their experienced man Mohammed Siraj.
