Key Takeaways from LSG vs DC, Match 26, IPL 2024- Winning Team (DC)
Kuldeep Yadav’s return strengthens Delhi’s bowlingÂ
Delhi were seeking wickets at 64/2 when Kuldeep Yadav came into the attack. In his absence, they couldn’t control the game in the middle overs. On his third ball, the chainaman sent back Marcus Stoinis with a tossed-up delivery. On the very next ball, Nicholas Pooran played Kuldeep on the wrong line. The ball breached Pooran’s defence to disturb the off pole.
Â
KL Rahul looked to cut the bowler and got a faint under edge. Kuldeep picked up his third wicket for just seven runs. Those wickets allowed the Capitals to dominate the game. He ended with 3/20 in his four overs, without giving away any boundaries in his spell.

Fraser adds fresh air to Delhi’s top order
Even before his debut game, there was much talk about Jake Fraser-McGurk. The young and exciting Australia batter smashed the record for the fastest List A ton (29 balls) for South Australia.Â
On his second ball of the IPL, Fraser hammered Yash Thakur over deep mid-wicket for a six. In the fifth over, the right-hander took on Arshad Khan. He nailed him over wide long-on for a six, before slicing him over backward point for another boundary.
Â
The only issue he had was rotating the strike. But even with that, he looked fearless. With three consecutive sixes against Krunal Pandya, Fraser celebrated a 31-ball fifty. This allowed Delhi to get close to victory. He ended his special debut knock on 55 in 35 balls, shouldering on five sixes and a couple of boundaries.Â

Key Takeaway from LSG vs DC, Match 26, IPL 2024- Losing Team (LSG)Â
Badoni’s phenomenal 55*-run knock bails LSG out
By the time Ayush Badoni walked into the middle, Lucknow was limping at 80/5 towards the halfway mark. They lost two more wickets in the next three overs and looked certain to get bundled out. Badoni decided to free his arms by smashing Mukesh Kumar for two consecutive boundaries.Â
It was remarkable to see him transferring his weight back to pull Khaleel Ahmed over deep square leg for a six. When Delhi spread out the field, Badoni looked for the quick doubles. In just 31 balls, he celebrated his third IPL fifty. A couple of more fours in the last over carried him to 55* in 35 balls. The Super Giants finished on a fighting total.
