Leeds Test Approaching Milestones - Jasprit Bumrah 5 short of 100-wicket mark

Here’s a look at the milestones to look forward to in the Leeds Test:

19 - India will play a Test match at Leeds, Headingly after 19 years.


4000 - India skipper Virat Kohli is 121 runs away from reaching 4000 runs at away/neutral venues in Test cricket.


200 - India speedster Mohammed Shami is just 9 wickets shy of achieving the milestone of 200 wickets in Test cricket.


Highest Wicket-takers for India in Test


100 – India’s bowling spearhead Jasprit Bumrah needs just five more wickets to complete 100 wickets in Test cricket. Bumrah has taken 95 wickets in 22 Tests till now. Kapil Dev was the fastest pacer to 100 wickets in Tests for India when he reached the landmark in 25 Tests. Notably, Bumrah needs only 9 wickets to reach 100 wickets away from home in Test cricket.


100 - James Anderson is just one catch away from completing the milestone of 100 field catches in Test cricket.


100 – India’s vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane need just three more catches to reach 100 field catches milestone in Test cricket. Rahane will become the sixth Test player for India to reach the 100 catches milestone in Test cricket after Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Sunil Gavaskar and Mohammed Azharuddin.


27 – England skipper Joe Root will become the most successful English skipper if England win the Headingly Test. The record-holder for England is former skipper Michael Vaughan (26 wins).


5 – At Lord’s, India’s right-arm pacer Ishant Sharma equalled the record of former India pacer Zaheer Khan by taking 311 wickets in Test cricket. He is just one wicket away from breaking the record of Zaheer Khan and to become the fifth-highest wicket-taker for India.


200 - Moeen Ali is on the verge of completing 200 wickets in Test cricket. He requires just eight wickets in Test cricket to reach that milestone. He will be the 16th English player to achieve this milestone. He will be only the third English spinner to reach 200 wickets in Test cricket.


50 - English allrounder Sam Curran requires just five dismissals to complete 50 wickets in Test cricket.


5 – India’s off spinner Ravichandran Ashwin (413 wickets) is on the verge of surpassing former India tweaker Harbhajan Singh (417 wickets) if he can pick five more wickets in the Headingley Test.


15000 - India opener Rohit Sharma is on the verge of completing 15000 runs in international cricket. He requires just 100 more runs to complete the milestone.


23000 - India skipper Virat Kohli requires just 63 runs to complete 23000 runs across all three formats in international cricket.
